The Grown-Up Startup Club was created by Steven Funkhouser, founder of Is This Worth It?
Steven’s experience includes starting and operating businesses involving mail and shipping, coffee products, websites, compliance, professional services, and business support.
The letters include lessons from the parts of entrepreneurship that rarely appear in motivational videos: buying the wrong thing, building before selling, dealing with regulations, changing direction, managing limited time, and deciding whether an idea deserves another month.

- August 10, 2026: Founding enrollment closes unless all 100 places sell sooner
- On or about August 12, 2026: The first founding package enters the USPS mail stream
- Following weeks: Checkpoint and implementation letters continue throughout the challenge

Do I need previous business experience?
No. The challenge explains the offer, customer, pricing, starting materials, outreach process, and launch steps. Members are still responsible for determining whether an idea is appropriate for their circumstances.
Is business income guaranteed?
No. The club provides educational materials and a structured test process. Results depend on the member, market, execution, location, pricing, and other factors outside our control.
Where do you mail?
The founding offer is available only to valid mailing addresses in the United States.
What happens if a letter is lost?
Contact support and we will verify the address and replace qualifying lost, incomplete, or materially damaged materials.
Can I cancel?
You may cancel before the first package enters fulfillment. After fulfillment begins, complete future monthly challenges that have not entered fulfillment may be eligible for a $33-per-challenge refund under our published policy.
